Description: Folder containing negatives of the construction of the United States Army's Mine Planter, Brig. Gen. Henry L. Abbott (MP-6) for the U.S. Army Coast Artillery Corps. Hull #479. The images show the construction of the Abbott on a dry dock through its completion. Also included are two images of the sponsor, Mrs. Wilhelm. The Abbott was constructed by the Marietta Manufacturing Company in Point Pleasant, W.V.
