One of the photographs includes three African American adults sitting on the front porch of the house. The parcel was purchased and the house demolished as part of the Shore Drive Redevelopment Project meant to "revitalize" Greenville's downtown area, but which broke up a vibrant African American community and displaced over 250 African American families in the name of economic development.
