Description: Presented to administration by the newly formed Negro Students’ Grievance Committee, the 1967 document titled at top "Negro Students Complaints" represent the first attempt by African American students to bring about changes to the culture that existed on campus. These demands include several grievances that are also found on the 1969 demands, such as the banning of “Dixie.” The outdated language used in the title for this document is taken from the top of the document written in red ink.
