Description: Personal statement: "I believe that Stonewall was a necessary event to have taken place. I wouldn’t be able to live how I do today and be as open about myself as I do without it. I contribute to promoting the movement for equality by volunteering at the Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center. I want those feeling that they aren’t welcome to know they are welcomed with open hands, and for acceptance rather than tolerance.
