Photograph is a front elevation view of a two-story house with wood siding, metal roof, and two brick chimneys, with three windows flanked by louvered shutters on the upper story; the ground floor has a door opening onto a covered porch running the width of the house. On the porch two men and two women are seated on either side of a man holding what appears to be a watermelon under his right arm and an unidentified round object in the opposite hand. Grasses, vines, shrubs, and trees are present around and behind the house, with some of the plants obscuring the sides of the porch.
