Title: The school room against the bar room
Identifier: 0345-fos1 (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/60873)
Description: The school room against the bar room: state prohibition is for the general good of North Carolina by J.Y. Joyner, State Superintendent of Public Instruction. This broadside (circa 1919) offers J.Y. Joyner's opinion on alcohol use as a prohibitionist. According to Joyner, public education will improved by a ban on the sale and manufacture of alcohol, and as more people educate themselves on the dangers of alcohol use, more will support a ban. Joyner ends his editorial by encouraging his readers to vote in favor of prohibition on May 26th, [1919]. Two photograhs of public shools are included in the publication. Published by Edwards & Broughton Printing Co., Raleigh, N.C., [1919?].
