Description: From author: I believe in loving all people and celebrating differences that make us unique and beautiful. As a straight ally of the LGBT community and an ECU professor, it is my duty to promote understanding and compassion for every student, staff, and faculty member. I do my best to expand archaic and limiting definitions of stereotypical "masculinity" and "femininity" and I challenge others to do the same. My students are required to educate themselves about the discriminatory actions our ECU LGBT family members have faced, and are encouraged to find ways to demonstrate love and acceptance.
