Description: Personal statement: "My family is big, loud, dramatic, loving, crazy, sarcastic, confusing, supportive, and…. not entirely full of blood relatives. But who said it had to be? My friends have been there for me both in times of triumph and of loss without a second thought. Isn’t that what family truly means? To continue to love someone even if you don’t ‘like’ them at the moment? I’m sure I have been on the latter half of that statement more times than I would like to admit but yet, here I am. Still feeling the love, support, and frequent sassy comment, even though we have all grown up and moved to different parts of the world. I stand in this photo alone, but all while knowing that I have an amazing family: Mom, Dad, John, and “sisters” with me in spirit.
