Ramy discusses her childhood in Lebanon, her immigration with her father to the United States in 1911 at the age of 12, her upbringing in Greenville, N.C. including her schooling and bullying due to her accent, her employment, her courtship and marriage to Joseph El-Ramey of Farmville, N.C., the raising of her children, travel from Farmville to Greenville, the various forms of transportation she experienced throughout her life, and the changes she has witnessed in Farmville over the years. The interview closes with a discussion of the conflict in Lebanon occurring in 1979 and the causes of the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Interviewer: Moses Moye Jr.
