'Eyes wide shut': sometimes we get a better perspective by closing our eyes, and honing in on our subconscious than we do when we try to keep our eyes open. Our most inner thoughts and feelings are what really drive us to do the things we do, which we often times can see through the subconscious illusions we call dreams.
