Description: Letter from Confederate soldier Robert C. Caldwell to his wife Mag Caldwell. Robert is serving as a private in Company C., 10th Battalion, North Carolina Heavy Artillery near Wilmington, N.C. Robert writes from a camp on the Sound, and tells Mag he sent a package to Harris Depot for her containing NC money and the palmetto. He says he is tired of war, but does not feel there will be much fighting where he is stationed. He also gives Mag advice on farm matters.
