Description: Letter from Robert C. Caldwell to his wife Mag Caldwell. Robert is serving as a private in Company C., 10th Battalion, North Carolina Heavy Artillery near Wilmington, N.C. Robert writes from Camp Jackson, Wilmington, NC, and tells Mag that he is back from Charleston. He says that food prices are very high, and that because of the cost, he will send his broken watch home to be repaired.
