Description: Letter from Robert C. Caldwell to his wife Mag Caldwell. Robert is serving as a private in Company C., 10th Battalion, North Carolina Heavy Artillery near Wilmington, N.C. Robert writes that he is well except for an outbreak of lice, and again complains of the bad food. He reports that his unit may move to nearby Fort Campbell. Robert writes Mag very specific instructions on what to do about the harvesting, the planting, the farm hands and the animals on the farm. He asks for news of everyone and wants Mag to tell them to write him.
