Description: Letter from Robert C. Caldwell to his wife Mag Caldwell. Robert is serving as a private in Company C., 10th Battalion, North Carolina Heavy Artillery near Wilmington, N.C. Robert reports to Mag that he has heard some good preaching, and feels that it is needed because of all the wickedness of the men. He also discusses a night when his unit had speeches and serenading, and mentions some men going home on furlough.
