Description: General Frank A. Armstrong’s handwritten firsthand account of the German Air Blitz of England in late 1940. Armstrong’s account was written during his tenure in England as a military observer, and contains a description of British life during the German Air Blitz. Also included are a few handwritten notes related to the war, as well as one typed letter from Armstrong. The letter is dated 1942 and begins with “Dear Diary”, though the content does not appear to be included in Armstrong’s account. The letter describes specific strategies being implemented in the war. May through December 1941 pages are not scanned because they are blank.
