Description: A letter to Ben W. Wyche thanking him for his donation to the Hugh Yelverton III Memorial Award Fund. The letter is typed on letterhead for The First National Bank of Blackstone (Va.) and signed by R. Archer Hardy. The award was named for Junius Hugh Yelverton, III, a Blackstone area resident that died in a car accident at the age of 15. Hardy writes: "Our entire community is shocked and distressed at this loss of one of our finer young citizens. It will take a long time for reconcilement by the family to such a tragic event."
