Description: A letter from Col. W. J. Simmons, Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan in Atlanta, Georgia, to Maurice O. Roberts of Greensboro, North Carolina, encouraging Roberts to join the Klan, describing the organization in general terms, and promising more information when Roberts joins. Simmons discusses the money a Klan organizer could make and offers to send Roberts literature on the Klan. Included is the original envelope decorated with an image of Stone Mountain with two Klansmen in front. The image description reads, "Stone Mountain, Largest Solid Stone in the World, one mile from Base to Summit. On its highest pinnacle, the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan Organized at Midnight, Nov. 25, 1915."
