She discusses an ongoing series of lectures alternating at the American and English Legations and briefly mentions Sir John Jordan. She tells how she spent a day meditating at the English chapel and recommends some books to read for meditation. A native of Winterville, Venetia Cox was an Episcopal missionary music teacher in mainland China between 1917 and 1950.
