Identifier: 0001-b1-fb   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/23932)
Description: Letter from William W. Morrison, Major and Chief, Subsistence Department, in Goldsboro, N.C. to Major Thomas Sparrow in Tarboro, N.C. Morrison thinks that officers temporarily absent because of sickness or wounds are entitled to draw rations if they say it is for their own use. From the papers of Thomas Sparrow (1819-1884), a lawyer from Washington, N.C. who fought in the Civil War and later represented Beaufort County in the North Carolina General Assembly.
