World War II American propaganda leaflet in Japanese
Title: World War II American propaganda leaflet in Japanese
Identifier: 0677-050-b1-fa-i10   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/23770)
Description: World War II American propaganda leaflet with an illustration of a Japanese man holding a little Japanese girl on the left and a skull on the right. Information in Japanese on front and on reverse. Translation from Japanese to English: Illustrated side (front) first column -- "Dying in vain." Second column -- "A life with meaning." On verso: "What is an honorable death? That is surely to do brave deeds for your country until the end, and carry out your final moments. But there is no honor in dying in vain. What is the honorable life? That is to preserve oneself, and for the sake of one's country to live life to the fullest. An honorable life is more challenging than an honorable death. It is true bravery."
