Description: Letter from George Attmore Sparrow in Washington, NC to his father Thomas Sparrow. George writes to his father about it snowing very hard the day before and playing in the snow downtown. George says that the Trustees came to the Academy to hear the boys speak their dialogue, but it was postponed because of the snow. From the papers of Thomas Sparrow (1819-1884), a lawyer from Washington, N.C. who fought in the Civil War and later represented Beaufort County in the North Carolina General Assembly.
