Spiral Focusing Polarizing Microscope
Title: Spiral Focusing Polarizing Microscope
Identifier: LL02.48.01.33   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/22088)
Description: George Wale was one of the most innovative microscope designers. This instrument has a spiral groove coarse focusing mechanism and centerable polarizer mounting. The analyzer is mounted at the bottom of the draw tube. The base rotates, so that when the microscope is used horizontally, it is much more stable. Wale invented the radial limb microscope, which was also made by Bausch and Lomb (U24) and Ross.
