Description: This basic stand is one of the most famous Zeiss microscopes. This model was preferred by Robert Koch, who discovered the bacteria which caused many infectious diseases, including anthrax and tuberculosis. He was provided with the most up-to-date high power optics by Abbe at Zeiss. Zeiss presented Koch with Stativ VII serial number 10000 as a commemorative. An edition of 1000 reproductions of this stand was issued for the 125th anniversary of Carl Zeiss. The serial number is 8168.
