Description: This is a lightweight, folding, lockable brightfield and darkfield microscope made for use in mobile military hospitals during the Vietnam war era. It comes with a multiple voltage rechargeable and direct power pack and removable electric lamp. A slider below the condenser inserts the darkfield stop. The mechanical stage and focusing controls are both concentric. It uses standard American Optical lenses, and the oil immersion lens has an iris diaphragm. The kit comes in a foam lined hard plastic case. The serial number is 3050-170.
