Description: This microscope is very similar to the Zeiss Stativ VI. Copying, imitation and outright patent infringement were common among microscope makers. However Bausch and Lomb had legal technology sharing agreements with Zeiss. Until the personal income tax was introduced, import tariffs were the major source of federal government income. This gave U.S. manufactured instruments a price advantage. This instrument is heavier and has a different fine adjustment than the Zeiss VI.
