Description: Vulcanite pellets. Vulcanite is a hard rubber used to create dentures from 1855 through the 1930s. Due to strict enforcing of patent fees, vulcanite was only publicly sold for a short time in the 1860s and after the 1880s. The pellets were contained in wrapping paper and string. There appears to be one complete package, one partial package and one unattached label.
