Description: Dental mandrel made of nickel plated steel. The mandrel is an irregular triangle shape in cross section, thicker in the middle than at the ends. Mandrels were used to form collars (or bands) for a tooth. This one with its irregular triangle shape would have been used for bicuspids (premolars).
