Trichophytosis Corporis is characterized as a general affliction of ringworm across the body. Favorite sites include the face, neck, hands and forearms. Lesions are characterized as round, slightly scaly spots that extend peripherally. The advancing edge is usually slightly elevated. Ringworm of the non-hairy surface is noted as very easy to cure. Unguentum hydrargyri ammoniati rubbed into the spot will provide positive results. Trichophytosis Corporis may also be known as Tinuea circinata, seu trichophytina corporis, Ringworm of the body.
