The reverse of the card discusses the condition as well as diagnosis and treatment options. Syphiis Tertiaria is an ulcerative form of syphilis exhibiting tubercular lesions, ulcers, and crusts along the affected areas. The ulcers travel slowly by healing and scarring in places while advancing in others, generally forming the large arc of a circle. Mercury and potassium iodid are noted as treatment options for this disease. Syphilis Tertiaria may also be known as Syphilis ulcero-serpiginosa.
