The woman is wearing a white high neck lace blouse,as well as a gold fleur de lis brooch pinned to her blouse. In addiftion she is wearing a single gold chain around her neck. The reverse of the card describes the dermatologic conditions as well as the diagnosis and treatment. The ulcerative tendency of a tubercular syphilid may exist from the earliest appearance of the lesion or show itself only after a group or patch of tubercles has formed and lasted for some time. The ulceration may be deep or shallow and many attack all or only a few of the tubercular lesions, so that in some patches tubercles, ulcers and crusts are present. Syphilis Tertiaria of this type can be known as Syphilis ulcero-serpiginosa.
