Pompholyx
Title: Pompholyx
Identifier: LL02.49.00.68   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/21174)
Description: Dermatologic stereoview card. Front of card shows a person’s fingers with Pompholyx. The reverse of the card describes the dermatologic conditions as well as the diagnosis and treatment. Pompholyx is characterized by an eruption of deep-seated vesicles, usually symmetrically distributed on the hands or feet. On the hands the favorite location of the lesions is upon the lateral aspects of the fingers and upon the palms, and occasionally on the dorsal surface of the fingers. On the feet they appear frequently upon the soles and sides of the feet, especially on the inner surfaces, sometimes as high up as the malleoli. Pompholyx may also be known as Dysidrosis.
