Identifier: LL02.49.00.13   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/21119)
Description: Dermatologic stereoview card. Front of card depicts the palm of a hand above the wrist with Dermatitis Repens. The reverse of the card describes the dermatologic conditions as well as the diagnosis and treatment. Dermatitis repens is an inflammatory disease, beginning as one or more vesicles or blebs or exceptionally as a papule, which extends peripherally by a progressive undermining of the epidermis. Its point of origin is often at the site of some trauma which makes a portal for the infection; it may start from a paronychia. The content of a belb is turbid serum or thin pus. Treatment was done with removal of loose, dead skin then washes and various solutions like lead lactate and lotion were applied to the skin.
