Identifier: LL02.49.00.12   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/21118)
Description: Dermatologic stereoview card. Front of card depicts a person's torso back view with Dermatitis Herpetiformis. The reverse of the card describes the dermatologic conditions as well as the diagnosis and treatment. Dermatitis Herpetiformis is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by the multiformity of its lesions and the tendency of the eruptions to recur and vary in form. In severe cases the onset may be heralded by malaise, anorexia, chilliness and fever, and these general symptoms may persist for a day or two after the outbreak of the rash. Itching which is always severe may be present also before the eruption. This disease is also similar to erythema maltiforme and pemphigus. The disease was treated with anti-pruritic applications.
