Description: The front of the card depicts a young boy on a pony and with a whip in his right hand. The horse is jumping over a tree laying on the ground. There is a deer running in the distance. In the right upper corner of the card is a Vaseline sign. The reverse of the card gives a story of “The Elixir Vitae” a legendary potion that grants eternal life and youth. Vaseline, life’s great Elixir, has the same properties and nothing on earth can equal. The card endorses six different Vaseline products all for different treatments: Pure Vaseline for medicinal use, Pomade Vaseline for the hair, Vaseline Cold Cream for the skin, Vaseline Camphor Ice for chapped skin, Vaseline Toilet Soap, and Vaseline Confections for coughs. The price of these products varied from 15 cents to 50 cents and could be used in any situation.
