Description: Advertisement for Pond’s Extract depicting a very young child sitting in a bowl on a pond with lily pads and has cattails in the background. The child is wearing a necklace and rowing with an oar in each hand. The words, Pond’s Extract, stretch across the bottom. Other words across the very bottom are ointment, catarrh cure, and plaster. The reverse of the card states that “Pond’s Extract, the wonder of healing, it stops all hemorrhages. It cures all inflammatory diseases.” Uses include piles, wounds, ulcers, rheumatism, earache, sore throat, sore feet, toothache, and as a ladies' friend. There is a word of caution about unscrupulous Druggists. The bottles are priced: small .50, medium 1.00, and large 1.75. Prepared only by The Pond's Extract Co., New York and London.
