Description: This card depicts a blonde-haired little girl, dressed in a white lace nightgown with a large pink bow on one shoulder, reclining on her side, with her arms around three small kittens while a small dog looks on from behind. "Cherry Malt Phosphites" is written on one of the pillows. At the bottom is "La Nichee (The Nest)" and "Copyright, 1887, by Scott & Bowne N.Y." The reverse of the card states that "Cherry Malt Phosphites, as its name indicates, is a combination of wild cherry, extract of malt and the hypophosphites of lime and soda." It is "a brain, nerve and life-giving tonic." It "acts on the stomach and liver, increasing the appetite, assisting digestion, building up the weak, frail and broken down system, thereby making it applicable for dyspepsia in its various forms; loss of appetite, headache, insomnia, general debility, malaria, lack of vitality, nervous prostration or exhaustion, and during convalescence."
