Description: The front of the card depicts a pudgy baby boy sitting on a cloth seat holding a package of Horsford's Acid Phosphate to his bare chest. Across a banner at the bottom reads 'it makes a delicious drink with water and sugar only'. The reverse of the card advertises Prof. Horsford's Phosphatic Baking Powder made from his successful Acid Phosphate. The baking powder is said to make lighter biscuits, cakes, etc. It is promoted as being healthier than ordinary Baking Powder and recommended by leading physicians. The Powder restores phosphates to maintain health and decrease the risk of common disease and retarded growth. In addition to its uses there is commentary on the product by leading doctors of the time.
