Description: William "Buzzy" Pierce graduated from East Carolina University Friday. Buzzy has a difference as compared to the other grads. He is a quadriplegic, and the first with such handicap to graduate from the university. Buzzy was stricken with polio when he was six and has no use of his arms and legs. Dressed in his cap and gown, and powering his electric wheel chair alongside other grads--Buzzy graduated.
