Foot warmer
Title: Foot warmer
Identifier: Country Doctor Museum   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/14379)
Description: When a doctor had to travel to patients’ homes on cold, snowy days or nights, he could tuck a foot stove into the floor of his buggy. Inside the foot stove were warm coals that helped keep the doctor’s feet warm and toasty. The Dummond Carriage Company advertised foot warmers in 1898 for two cents and noted that one would make an excellent Christmas present.
