Class ring
Title: Class ring
Identifier: Country Doctor Museum   (https://digital.lib.ecu.edu/14344)
Description: When students graduate from high school or college they often buy a class ring to celebrate their accomplishments. This class ring belonged to Helen Massengill Creech, R.N., a 1949 graduate of Rex Hospital School of Nursing in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ring features many symbols that represent both Ms. Creech’s chosen profession and the time she spent in nursing school. Among the symbols engraved in the ring are a modified caduceus, and a skull and crossbones. Ms. Creech’s initials and year of graduation are engraved on the inside of the ring. The ring features a blue gem stone and is made of 10 k gold.
