Description: Country stores were not only a place to buy needed items, but they were also a place to relax and visit with family and friends. Storeowners encouraged these activities by providing seating at the front of their stores. In an effort to promote their products many companies began providing benches featuring their companies logo. This bench was used by the Royster Clark Fertilizer Company in Wilson and promoted Contentnea Guano Company. Of the twenty produced in 1964 this is the only known survivor.
