Description: Square, wooden butter mold. Since butter was made on the farm by the farm family and was not bought in the store, new butter did not appear in ready-made shapes. Freshly churned butter could be placed into a wooden mold and shaped to look tidier. The video includes a demonstration of the mold being used. Date approximated.
