Description: Solid silver punch strainer (LOA 12 1/4"). A wide but shallow, pierced bowl with two serpentine handles. Four original hallmarks appear in the bowl: a lion, bug, "a," and "TD." Engraved on the outer rim are the initials "F.E.D"; opposite is a small sketch of a deer holding a stag head. English, mid-18th century. Its historical use during this time period is described in the video. Date approximated.
