Description: Michelle A. Francis' interview with Reid Voss and Walter and Dorothy Cole Auman of Seagrove Pottery regarding the archaeological site at Shepherd Mountain. Pottery shards and kilns dating from 1750-1800 were found on the mountain near Asheboro, N.C, believed to be among the oldest artifacts from potters of European descent in North Carolina. While contemporary with early Moravian potters, the Shepherd Mountain pottery is of a different style.
