The collection includes various aspects of public health in North Carolina beginning in the early 20th century.

Papers (1960-1962, 1986, undated) compiled by Doris M. Cromartie, during her service as vice chair of the executive committee of the Democratic Women of North Carolina, including correspondence, lists of workers, by-laws, newsletter, articles, and miscellaneous materials pertaining to Democratic Party activities in North Carolina.

Two series of slides, according to labels on the slides: series A and series C. Series A contains slides having to do with the history of healing and includes illustrations from ancient Greek, medieval, and Native American sources up through the 19th century. Series C contains slides having to do with nursing history, focusing on 19th to early 20th century.

This collection contains the records of the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement, specifically the committee planning the remembrance activities for the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Memoir "Precious Memories. . .in My Life" by Wilson Crabtree (2006) about life experienced by the Crabtree and Oakley families in Rougemont, North Carolina, in Durham, Person, and Orange counties during the first half of the 20th Century. Family history and scanned photographs for the two families are given as well as documenting life in small diversified farms with tobacco as the cash crop. Accompanying the memoir is Mr. Crabtree's obituary.

This collection contains a single photograph album that highlights the Sandhills region in North Carolina from 1914 to 1921.

Papers (1943-1945) consisting of a memoir, with preface, maps, table of content, describing the author's experiences in Co. D., 20th Marines (Engineers), 4th Marine Division, U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, including the battles for the Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima.

Papers (1899-2020) consisting of programs, correspondence, newspaper clippings, minutes, club histories, invitation, eulogies, a scrapbook and miscellaneous items concerning the End of the Century Book Club in Greenville, North Carolina.

This collection consists of the family records, photographs, and genealogy records collected by Sarah Westray Bunn of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She was an East Carolina Teachers' College 1936 graduate and served in the Army Nurse Corps from 1941 to 1966. Included are genealogy notes concerning the Lewis, Suggs, Speight, Powell, Harrison, and Exum families of Eastern N.C.; late 19th century and 20th Century photographs; correspondence (1905-1998); an 1847 book of children's poetry; clippings; genealogy charts; and a tombstone rubbing.

Early 20th Century Buddhist manuscript probably from Thailand or Indonesia inscribed with Pali text on nineteen thin sheets of palm leaf. The exterior covers are made of bamboo and are inscribed with a title.

Printed materials (Sept. 1999 - May 2000) including copies of Pieces of Eight, and The East Carolinian, containing articles on Hurricane Floyd and the flood that followed, football tickets, and a copy of the program for the ECU v. University of Miami football game.

This collection consists 16 unique images, with the remaining items consisting of multiple copies, of file photos of Amelia Earhart, dating from 1918 through 1937. Images include celebrations of Amelia Earhart's first Trans Atlantic flights in 1928, her appearances for the First Powder Puff Air Derby, her attempts to establish various records, and her appearance before the United States Senate. The earliest image depicts Earhart's graduation portrait from 1918. The last photo was taken in Oakland, California, just before her departure to Hawaii in 1937. Two images include Amy Otis Earhart, mother of Amelia Earhart. Most of the photographs in this collection are identified as coming from the files of Underwood & Underwood, a longtime supplier of news photographs in New York, New York.

1866 letter from John H. Logue in Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, to Wm. Grigg. A 20th Century letter from Mary Bailey Davis explains who someone referred to in the letter as "Miss Mittie" is.

This collection includes many letters written during the American Civil War by Dr. Charles James O'Hagan, an Irish immigrant who settled in Pitt County, North Carolina, and served in the North Carolina State Troops as a surgeon, to his daughters; and letters written by Confederate soldiers to his eldest daughter. Also included are letters (1840s) from family in Ireland and testamonials written to help Dr. O'Hagan find employment; letters written in the post-Civil War era 1860s through 1882; and letters, photographs, and obituaries concerning the related Laughinghouse and Grimes families of Pitt County, N.C., in the late 19th century and early 20th century.

Genealogical materials for Dixon, Haddock, Hemby, Laughinghouse, Nelson, Jenkins, Baldree, Dail-Deal, Flake, Kittrell and other families of Pitt County, NC. Also includes local history and biographical sketches by William B. Kittrell, a DVD of a Motion picture of Greenville, North Carolina (ca. 1940s-1950s) showing ordinary daily scenes and local buildings, CD of early 20th Century Pitt County schools, and 2 DVDRs made from 8mm reels of home movies (1947-1967) made by the Keel family of Greenville, N.C.
