Papers (1804-1968) consisting of correspondence, financial records, deeds, records of payments, weighting receipts, taxes, tax lists.

Charles A. Tournier, age 17, enlisted August 29, 1864, at Auburn, New York, was mustered in as a private, assigned to Company A, 3rd New York Light Artillery, and was discharged July 3, 1865, and returned to his family in New York.

This collection contains papers and ephemera (1875-1985) pertaining to the Barnes Family of Murfreesboro, North Carolina, and the surrounding area. Included are correspondence, land records, photographs, genealogy notes, wills, obituaries, programs, autograph book (1884), report cards from Wesleyan Female College and UNC Chapel Hill, poetry, and accounts.

The Attic officially opened September 7, 1971, in Greenville, NC. The nightclub served as a local venue for entertainment and live music. The collection spans 1970-1985 and includes photographs, posters, advertisements, t-shirts, and a few publications. The strength of the collection is in documenting the variety of music performed as well as the club's later efforts to branch out into comedy and other forms of entertainment.

This collection consists 16 unique images, with the remaining items consisting of multiple copies, of file photos of Amelia Earhart, dating from 1918 through 1937. Images include celebrations of Amelia Earhart's first Trans Atlantic flights in 1928, her appearances for the First Powder Puff Air Derby, her attempts to establish various records, and her appearance before the United States Senate. The earliest image depicts Earhart's graduation portrait from 1918. The last photo was taken in Oakland, California, just before her departure to Hawaii in 1937. Two images include Amy Otis Earhart, mother of Amelia Earhart. Most of the photographs in this collection are identified as coming from the files of Underwood & Underwood, a longtime supplier of news photographs in New York, New York.

Papers (1834-2006) including correspondence, land records, Bible records, genealogy notes, cemetery stone listings, and miscellaneous related to the Carpenter, Gay, and Hamner families of Albemarle County, Virginia.

Imperial folio sheets, pasted on linen backing (probably in 18th century) with some insect damage and repairs, and some loss of information. Framed dimensions: 50-1/4" x 62-1/2". Scale: 1" = 5 miles. Papers (1943-1945, 1957, 1990-1995) of USS Wiseman (DE-667) crewmember, including diaries, correspondence, notes, photographs, clippings and miscellany which document his World War II service.

This collection contains genealogy material concerning the Tucker family of Pitt County, North Carolina, and correspondence (1983-1999), legal documents, maps and photographs related to the Tucker Family Cemetery in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina. Documented are attempts to keep up the cemetery, protect it from encroachment from neighboring Arlington Boulevard due to needs to widen the road, and from encroachment by neighbors.

This collection contains one-of-a-kind woven bookmarks whose design was inspired by specific works by Southern writers and were created by former East Carolina University School of Art and Design faculty member Catherine Billingsley. Also includes clipping files related to Southern writers.
