This collection contains the administrative records for the East Carolina College of Education. Record types include annual reports, other reports, committee minutes, self studies, publications and brochures, and audiovisual materials.

Papers (1727, 1823-1896, 1924, 1947) of Martin County, NC family, including correspondence, land records, plats, mortgages, a recipe, promissory notes, summonses, account of estate sales, receipt, and miscellany.

This collection contains the records of the former ECU News Bureau, including press releases, newspaper clippings, sound recordings of programming, and information about East Carolina gaining university status.

Papers (1938-1994) of Captain James P. Lynch (USN ret.) a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1941, including correspondence, programs and leaflets (1938-67); clippings (1944-94); printed forms (1940-75); and photographic prints (1943-68).

This collection (1980s-2010s) contains material related to the life of Michael J. Hamer, an English professor at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, from 1986 through 2013, and a prolific songwriter, singer, and band leader who died in 2017. Included are notebooks containing his handwritten lyrics, poems, photographs, reel to reel tapes, clippings, and other material pertaining to his musical career.

Collection (1858-1901) consisting of a photocopy of the Craven Common Schools report, 1858; photocopies of pamphlets of advertisements, 1880s; and a photocopy of an Atlantic and North Carolina Railroad leaflet, 1901.
