Collection (1955-1969) of minutes, agendas, notes, correspondence, reports, and newsletters related to the donor's activities as a board member of the Housing Authority of Greenville, North Carolina, and supporter of public housing.

This collection spans W. Keats Sparrow's career at ECU, being comprised of materials from projects to which he contributed, in his roles as English professor, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, and president of Phi Kappa Phi.

These records (1894-2000) pertain to the Salisbury-Rowan Lodge No. 100 of the Knights of Pythias in North Carolina, the Salisbury Lodge No. 24 and the Rowan Lodge No. 100. Included are Minute books, Membership Roll books, semi-annual reports, correspondence, financial papers, applications for membership, withdrawal and transfer cards, dismissal and suspension certificates, rosters, directories, photographs and publications that contain procedures for ranks and rituals. Two documents (1898, undated) relate to the Zeb Vance Lodge No. 65 of North Carolina.

Papers (1801-1883) including photocopies, published article, typed copy of diary, incidents of Civil war, Carlton's views on Reconstruction period, description of execution of will in 1863-1866, music, styles of dress etc.

Papers (1806-1906) including correspondence, financial papers, journals, notebooks, legal papers and business documents relating to Timothy Hunter (1804-1875), a prominent Pasquotank County, N.C., shipbuilder and mariner.

Papers (1945-1977) consisting of correspondence, letters, clippings, newsletters, issues of U.S. Farm news and miscellaneous.

Collection (1760-1906, undated) including grant, deeds, wills, estates papers, plats, financial papers, letters, genealogical information, etc.

This collection is comprised of annual reports, information about department minors and majors programs, program proposals, chair correspondences, newspapers, and publications.

Sue Buffkin taught language arts in the 1970s and 1980s at Samarkand Manor (also spelled Samarcand Manor) in Eagle Springs, Moore County, North Carolina, a rehabilitation center for delinquent children. She was also a historian for the school. Her papers include her secretarial minutes and notes (1974-1984) for faculty and general staff meetings, very limited correspondence, student essays, the 50th anniversary publication (1968), and reports and publications (1971-1991) such as the student publication The Straw (1977), the staff publication The Samarkand Communiqué (1990, 1991), and an undated Samarkand Behavior Code.
