This collection contains the book Adolf Hitler: Bilder aus dem Leben des Fuhrers. It is a Nazi propaganda biography of Adolf Hitler (published in 1936) in the form of an album with text that includes 188 black and white and 5 colored mounted cigarette cards produced by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst. Also included are fifty-seven 4 7/8" x 6 5/8" and sixty-six 3 1/8" x 4 5/8" black and white Nazi propaganda cigarette cards (circa 1933).

East Carolina University's Science Camp for Academically Gifted Students includes an in-depth instructional curriculum, free and structured recreation periods and an evening lecture series. The facutly and staff of the camp consists of ECU personnel and local science teachers with various specialities as well as dormitory counselors. Students attend classes in university classrooms and laboratories and are housed in a university dorm. Participants are selected on the basis of (1) the recommendation of a teacher, counselor, or principal; (2) grades in science and mathematics; (3) latest acheivement test scores; and, (4) the date of application.

Postcards show scenes of Greenville, NC: Evans St. Looking North; Morehead City, NC: Atlantic Hotel, Washington, NC: Washington Court House, Washington Hospital, Main St. Looking West (2), Main St. Looking East. 4 colored, 3 B & W postcards.

Items (1928-1941) related to Greenville, NC, resident James Howard Moye; and items (1955) related U.S. Coast Guard rescues in North Carolina. The Zion's Landmark Vol. 23, No. 7 and Vol. 32, No. 7 (10/15/1890 and 2/15/1899) periodical published semi-monthly by Zion's Landmark Print, Wilson, North Carolina (Primitive, or Old School Baptist) that was in the collection has since been transferred to the North Carolina Collection as of 2022.

Papers (1943-1958) of a professor of Geography at East Carolina University, including correspondence, military service records, clippings, historical accounts, photographic prints, postcards, scrapbooks, maps, and printed materials especially relating to his World War II service as a Technician Fifth Grade, in Company B, 361st Engineer Special Service Regiment in Arizona, California, France, The Philippines and Japan.

Items include certificate from Manhattan Maternity and Dispensary of the City of New York, appointment to the local board of Warren County, NC during World War I, and group photograph of unidentified men.

This collection contains 38 items that pertains to the life and career of Edward E. Johnson, who served as assistant to the Reverend Horace James, Superintendent of Negro Affairs in North Carolina, following the Civil War.

Papers of Andrew Nelson Lytle (1934–1992, undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Murfreesboro, Tennessee-born, American biographer, novelist, dramatist, literary critic, educator, and editor, who became a leader and spokesman for the Southern Agrarian literary movement, including correspondence, manuscript materials, typescripts and holographs, printed materials, and loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection.

Collection (1766-2010) consists of items related to the Augustus Moore (June 8, 1803-March 23, 1851) family of Chowan and Halifax Cos., N.C., his children Augustus Minton Moore, William Armistead Moore, Henrietta Moore Sutton, Susan Augustus Moore Righton, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Alfred Moore and John Armistead Moore, and the descendants of John Armistead Moore. Included are account books, legal records, land transactions, estate records, correspondence, clippings, and autograph books (1855, 1865) belonging to family members who attended Miss Willard's Female Seminary in Troy, N.Y., and Patapsco Female Institute in Ellicott City, Maryland. Also included are identified photographs (cartes de visite, tintypes, cased pictures, albums) of the Moore, Gilliam, and Skinner, families, religious books such as Roman Catholic Missals, Episcopal Books of Common Prayer and Bibles, UNC-Chapel Hill diplomas (1824), and items related to the 1878 Exposition in Paris, France.

Taylor (1968-1990) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Lincoln, Virginia-born American poet, translator, and educator who taught literature and co-directed the creative writing at American University in Washington, DC, 1973-2003; including edited manuscripts, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, printed materials, proofs of published works & oversized materials.

Papers of Aaron Copland (1943-2005 [Bulk: 1971-1997]) documenting the life and musical career of the iconic Brooklyn, New York-born American composer, consisting of correspondence between Stuart Wright and Copland and others relating to Copland, 1977-1997; also loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection relating to Aaron Copland; photographic prints; original art; brochures, pamphlets and periodicals relating to Aaron Copland; in English, French & Spanish language.

Papers of Walker Percy (1954-1997 [1975-1987]) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Birmingham, Alabama-born American novelist of the New South, consisting of three copies of a proof entitled Walker Percy: A Bibliography: 1930-1984, compiled by Stuart Wright (1985); also loose manuscript items transferred from works by Walker Percy in the Stuart Wright Book Collection, including from: Lancelot: A Novel (1977-1982), Lost in the Cosmos (1978-1997), The Message in the Bottle (1975-1983), The Movie-Goer: A Novel (1961, 1982), The Thanatos Syndrome (1987-1997), The Correspondence of Shelby Foote Walker Percy (1979-1987), The Message of Auschwitz (1987), and Walker Percy: A Bibliography, by Stuart Wright (1986) ; also including a pamphlet by Walker Percy, entitled Symbol and Need (1954).

Papers of Barry Hannah (1960-2016 [Bulk: 1972-2016], undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Meridian, Mississippi-born, novelist and educator at the University of Mississippi, where he directed the Masters of Fine Arts program; consisting of correspondence, manuscripts, photographic materials, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, proofs of published materials, & printed broadsides of his poem Boomerang and other works.
