This photograph (according to James R. Morgan III, a historian of African American Freemasonry) is of the United Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, Prince Hall Affiliation. The occasion for the meeting was the 25th Annual Session being held in New Bern, North Carolina, on October 20 - 22, 1912. Included in the photograph are Sovereign Grand Commander Robert Pendleton and Sovereign Grand Commander James F. Rickards.

Papers of Donald Davidson (1981, 1986) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Giles County, Tennessee-born American poet, essayist, social and literary critic and author; consisting of a printed broadside of his poem An Epinician Ode in Honor of John Crowe Ransom, published by Palaemon Press (1981); noted by Stuart Wright on verso: typescript is signed by Donald Davidson 'At Bread Loaf, Vermont / July 28, 1958; also including a letter from M. Thomas Inge to Stuart Wright (1986) concerning the possible publication of Inge's correspondence with Davidson.

Collection (1766-2010) consists of items related to the Augustus Moore (June 8, 1803-March 23, 1851) family of Chowan and Halifax Cos., N.C., his children Augustus Minton Moore, William Armistead Moore, Henrietta Moore Sutton, Susan Augustus Moore Righton, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Alfred Moore and John Armistead Moore, and the descendants of John Armistead Moore. Included are account books, legal records, land transactions, estate records, correspondence, clippings, and autograph books (1855, 1865) belonging to family members who attended Miss Willard's Female Seminary in Troy, N.Y., and Patapsco Female Institute in Ellicott City, Maryland. Also included are identified photographs (cartes de visite, tintypes, cased pictures, albums) of the Moore, Gilliam, and Skinner, families, religious books such as Roman Catholic Missals, Episcopal Books of Common Prayer and Bibles, UNC-Chapel Hill diplomas (1824), and items related to the 1878 Exposition in Paris, France.
The collection includes newspaper clippings, correspondence and supporting documentation about Dennis H. Cookes short tenure as president of East Carolina Teachers College.
